Genshiken is a manga series by Shimoku Kio about a college club for otaku (extremely obsessed fans of various media)
and the lifestyle its members pursue. ourGenshiken is a blog written by four otaku who want to share their passion and report on all the various visual media they love.

Kitty's Studio is a short by Yasuji Mori. An influential mentor over at the Toei studio, he passed his skills on to subsequent generations of Toei animators such as Yasuo Otsuka, Gisaburo Sugii, and Hayao Miyazaki.

This is more for local Toronto/GTA folk: The Drawing Master, a documentary about retiring OCAD teacher, Paul Young, will be on BRAVO tomorrow at 5am EST. I love this documentary and watch it every time I get a chance so I will be waking up early for this.
Vol Libre, the very first computer generated film by director Loren Carpenter. Carpenter was immediatly offered a position at ILM's CG division after presenting his film at Siggraph'80. ILM CG eventually became Pixar where Loren works today.

Frank Espinosa, creator of Rocketo, has been publishing studies of his new newbook, The New World on his blog. Rocketo has to be one of my favorite comics to come out within the last few years. Frank's vision is clear and strong. Comic Creators should be taking notes from him.Frank used to be the Art Director at Warner Bros. Consumer Products and at Disney Consumer Products. More recently Frank has taught character design a MIT. design.
Madrid-based styling & creative firm, Kattaca, along with Moises González have decided to recreate some of Gustav Klimt's most iconic work. Kattaca has a naturally "illustrative" quality to their work and seems to work very well with the Klimt subject matter.
I don't quite remember how I discovered the work of Massimo Carnevale but when I did, I was immediately taken aback by his work. His graphic use of colour & light are reminiscent to me of a modern day N.C. Wyeth.
